Life Care Planning Services

DCMP life care planning services include medical cost projections, life care plan reviews and Act 6 calculations for medical billing.  They are completed by a Certified Nurse Life Care Planner who has extensive experience in the Nursing field, holds several distinguished certifications and is well versed in the legal processes and procedures related to testimony and depositions effectively communicating in a clear and concise manner.

  • A full life care plan is generally completed in 40 hours or less within 60 days of its assignment.  Keep in mind, these time frames are estimated and dependent on the complexity of the case.  If a shorter deadline is required, we will confirm our ability to meet it upon receipt of the assignment.
  • Medical Cost Projections provide a summary of medical history and treatments.  When applicable, it identifies potential complications, describes treatment options, identifies unrelated, unnecessary and/or duplicative treatments and services, includes sources for equipment, services and treatment and provides research and reference documentation.  It is useful in setting reserves, evaluating exposures and settlement negotiations.  Medical cost projections are generally completed in 20 hours or less within 30 days of assignment.  This again is dependent on the complexity of the case.
  • Life Care Plan Reviews involve identifying unrelated, unnecessary and/or over-stated treatments and services included in the plaintiff plan and provide specific information on alternative treatment and/or service providers.
  • Telephonic consultations are available prior to initiation and upon completion of services, if required.
